Spirit bird

Dark-eyed Junco

Junco hyemalis

"A steady, silver-bearded soul of the forest"

By passing on the flashy hummingbirds and colorful swallows in favor of the bold Kingbird and Kingfisher, you showed a clear preference for birds with grounded, stoic character. Your kind eyes and silver beard mirror the junco's 'snowbird' aesthetic, reflecting a spirit that is quietly wise, resilient, and finds joy in a simple, well-tended home.

A note on your bird: it wasn't picked from the 10 you swiped through — those were just the warm-up. It was chosen from our full flock of 100 iconic Canadian birds, matching the pattern of what moved you. That's why it may be one you never met on your journey.
