A pure-enjoyment app for bird lovers and curious souls. You take a short journey through beautiful bird photography, tell us which ones make your heart skip, and we reveal the one bird that resonates with your soul — plus a one-of-a-kind painted portrait of you among the feathers.

Your spirit bird is chosen from a curated reference list of the top 100 birds in Canada — waterfowl, raptors, songbirds, shorebirds, woodpeckers and more. Every bird in the list carries four things: its common name, its scientific family, a brief description of how it lives, and a set of personality keywords (things like "haunting call", "graceful", "fearless", or "secretive"). The keywords are what let the oracle match a bird's character to yours.

The 10 birds are the warm-up, not the answer sheet. Every journey shows a random handful of our photographed birds so we can read the pattern of what moves you — the eyes you love, the moods you prefer, the energy that makes you stop scrolling. Your final spirit bird is not limited to the 10 you saw; it comes from the full flock of 100, so it may well be a bird you never met on your journey.

1. The journey: 10 photographed birds are drawn at random from our full collection — every bird has an equal chance of appearing, no matter how large the flock grows.
2. Your signals: we read what you loved and passed on, and (if you add a selfie) the vibe and energy in your photo.
3. The shortlist: those signals select a personalized slate of 30 candidates from the 100-bird reference list. The slate varies from person to person, which keeps the oracle from always reaching for the same famous birds.
4. The oracle: an AI oracle reads the whole pattern — likes, dislikes, and your vibe — and chooses the one bird whose character genuinely fits you. It's nudged toward less-obvious matches when they fit better, so you won't just get the eagle every time.
5. The portrait: finally, a custom portrait is painted blending you with your spirit bird.

Not necessarily. Your shortlist is built from your answers and your device, so similar journeys tend to point at similar birds — but a different mood, different swipes, or a different selfie can lead the oracle somewhere new. Same soul, different weather.

It's poetry, not psychology. There's no peer-reviewed ornithology behind your match — just a whimsical reading of your choices and your vibe.
