Spirit bird

Spotted Towhee

Pipilo maculatus

"A striking soul with a deep-rooted spirit."

You passed on the flashy and frantic wood-warblers and woodpeckers, preferring the grounded, warm-toned beauty of the Rufous Hummingbird and the steady presence of owls. Your silver hair and mountain-themed decor suggest a connection to the damp, rustling forests of the west where this towhee thrives. Like them, you have a striking, clear-eyed presence that values substance over chatter.

A note on your bird: it wasn't picked from the 10 you swiped through — those were just the warm-up. It was chosen from our full flock of 100 iconic Canadian birds, matching the pattern of what moved you. That's why it may be one you never met on your journey.
