Spirit bird

Common Goldeneye

Bucephala clangula

"Piercing gaze, crisp patterns, steady presence."

You were drawn to the stoic elegance of the Blue Heron and Great Gray Owl but passed on more erratic flyers. Your calm, focused expression in your selfie mirrors the striking intensity of a Goldeneye, a bird that values both clarity and a crisp, no-nonsense aesthetic.

A note on your bird: it wasn't picked from the 10 you swiped through — those were just the warm-up. It was chosen from our full flock of 100 iconic Canadian birds, matching the pattern of what moved you. That's why it may be one you never met on your journey.
