Spirit bird

Eurasian Hoopoe

Upupa epops

"Dignified crown, thoughtful pulse, uniquely patterned"

Searching for focus and structural precision, you favored the industrious woodpeckers and the sharp-eyed owl over the chaotic energy of the kingbirds. Your salt-and-pepper beard and classic frames mirror the Hoopoe’s sophisticated, graphic plumage and calm, observant demeanor. You appreciate a rare, leucistic twist, much like this bird’s unmistakable silhouette among the common crowd.

A note on your bird: it wasn't picked from the 10 you swiped through — those were just the warm-up. It was chosen from our full flock of 100 iconic Canadian birds, matching the pattern of what moved you. That's why it may be one you never met on your journey.
