Spirit bird

Northern Gannet

Morus bassanus

"Piercing gaze, focused heart, total focus."

You passed on the cute 'backyard' birds in favor of intense, predatory, and water-bound specialists like the Loon and Kingfisher. Your wide-eyed, expressive selfie mirrors the Gannet's sharp clarity and 'locked-on' energy before a deep dive. You aren't here for the small talk of a Chickadee; you're here for the striking, singular depth of the hunt.

A note on your bird: it wasn't picked from the 10 you swiped through — those were just the warm-up. It was chosen from our full flock of 100 iconic Canadian birds, matching the pattern of what moved you. That's why it may be one you never met on your journey.
