Boreal Chickadee

Poecile hudsonicus

"A hardy soul in a cozy hat"

You passed on the frantic, showy birds in favor of steady, soulful forest dwellers like the Great Grey and Barred Owl. Your beanie and flannel suggest a man who belongs in the quiet conifers, much like this brown-capped bird who avoids the urban chaos for a deeper, more rugged peace.

A note on your bird: it wasn't picked from the 10 you swiped through — those were just the warm-up. It was chosen from our full flock of 100 iconic Canadian birds, matching the pattern of what moved you. That's why it may be one you never met on your journey.
