Spirit bird

Common Grackle

Quiscalus quiscula

"Iridescent charm with a mischievous spark."

Since you passed on every tiny sparrow and stoic owl, you clearly need a bird with more main-character energy and attitude. Your playful, knowing expression in the selfie perfectly matches the bold, golden-eyed stare of a Grackle. You're not looking for a camouflaged woodland bird; you're the iridescent, clever soul who owns the room.

A note on your bird: it wasn't picked from the 10 you swiped through — those were just the warm-up. It was chosen from our full flock of 100 iconic Canadian birds, matching the pattern of what moved you. That's why it may be one you never met on your journey.
