Turkey Vulture

Cathartes aura

"The wise, soaring observer of hidden truths."

You passed on the flashy, colorful songbirds in favor of the weight and majesty of raptors like hawks and owls. Your library-backed selfie suggests a sharp, intellectual depth that matches the vulture's quiet wisdom and patient, soaring perspective on the world. You aren't interested in the common chatter; you prefer the mystery and power of a bird that sees everything from a distance.

A note on your bird: it wasn't picked from the 10 you swiped through — those were just the warm-up. It was chosen from our full flock of 100 iconic Canadian birds, matching the pattern of what moved you. That's why it may be one you never met on your journey.
