Spirit bird

American Kestrel

Falco sparverius

"A colorful explorer with keen focus."

You passed on the understated ground-dwellers and doves in favor of bold predators and vibrant personalities like the hummingbirds and bluebirds. Your selfie captures an approachable yet sharp energy that perfectly mirrors this colorful falcon—a bird that balances a friendly, curious spirit with the sharp focus of an alpine raptor.

A note on your bird: it wasn't picked from the 10 you swiped through — those were just the warm-up. It was chosen from our full flock of 100 iconic Canadian birds, matching the pattern of what moved you. That's why it may be one you never met on your journey.
