Spirit bird

Great Grey Owl

Strix nebulosa

"A calm, intellectual guardian of the woods"

You passed on the frantic energy of kingbirds and chickadees, preferring the steady, watchful presence of the Barred Owl and Hairy Woodpecker. Your warmth and clear frame of mind in this photo suggest a soul that offers quiet wisdom and refined focus, much like this noble phantom of the forest.

A note on your bird: it wasn't picked from the 10 you swiped through — those were just the warm-up. It was chosen from our full flock of 100 iconic Canadian birds, matching the pattern of what moved you. That's why it may be one you never met on your journey.
