Pileated Woodpecker

Dryocopus pileatus

"Bold presence with a striking crest."

With your sharp, architectural eyewear and that formidable silver beard, you carry the same high-impact, 'carpenter-chic' energy as this forest architect. Your love for the Dusky Grouse and Magpie shows a taste for substantial, grounded birds with strong visual identities over smaller, flighty songbirds. You possess the unmistakable presence of a creature that knows exactly where to find the heart of the tree.

A note on your bird: it wasn't picked from the 10 you swiped through — those were just the warm-up. It was chosen from our full flock of 100 iconic Canadian birds, matching the pattern of what moved you. That's why it may be one you never met on your journey.
