Chipping Sparrow

Spizella passerina

"A delicate trill and bright rufous spirit"

Your love for small, mountain-dwelling birds like the Chickadee and Bluebird shows an affinity for the delicate and bright. Your spotted shirt and playful expression perfectly match the Chipping Sparrow's clear-faced, garden-loving energy and its distinct rufous-cap style.

A note on your bird: it wasn't picked from the 10 you swiped through — those were just the warm-up. It was chosen from our full flock of 100 iconic Canadian birds, matching the pattern of what moved you. That's why it may be one you never met on your journey.
